@jimmy_jonesx3 comments on murders of louisa. Morocco’s anti-terrorism court has handed down death sentences to four men who pledged allegiance to ISIS before beheading two tourists in December 2018.

In December 2018, Louisa Vestrager Jespersen, 24, from Denmark, and Maren Oland, 28, from Norway, were killed while camping near the Moroccan village of Imlil, a popular destination for hikers.

In an earlier court session, it was revealed that the four men accused of the murders had pledged allegiance to the Islamic State in a video before the killings.

On Thursday, the anti-terrorism court in Sale, near Rabat, sentenced the four main perpetrators to death.

Lawyers for Louisa Vestrager Jespersen’s family requested that the state, rather than the family, be responsible for payment. but the court denied the request and no further payment orders were issued.

Judging the accomplices

In addition to the four main perpetrators, 20 other people were sentenced to prison terms ranging from 5 to 30 years for their involvement in the crimes. These individuals have been charged with forming a criminal association with intent to commit terrorist acts, promoting terrorism, disrupting public order, and committing other convict offenses.

All of the accomplices were Moroccans, with the exception of Swiss Kevin Zeller Gervas, who was also sentenced to 20 years in prison for persuading people to join militant groups.
